Nate Sheppard is an award-winning composer and filmmaker and multimedia performing artist based in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. His work has been featured on Wisconsin Public Radio, Great Lakes Now on PBS, and Discover Wisconsin.

He is also co-owner of The Hilgermann Center for Community, founder of the Northwoods Film Office of Wisconsin, and curator of the Northwoods Filmmaking Society.

Nate is available for hire with extensive experience in videography, editing, sound design, music production, soundtrack composition, live sound engineering and more. If you have a project you need help with or just want to connect, please reach out.

Happy Earth Day! If you're looking for something to do this afternoon, join me at @nicolet_college this afternoon (4/22) for their sustainability fair from 3-7pm. Live music, food trucks, kids activities and more! I've put together a little immersive projection mapping installation utilizing the set from the college's recent play, so come and enjoy nature both outside and indoors. See you there! A new article from @wxprpublicradio on the grant I just received! (Link to listen/read it in my bio.) Last week I had the privilege of attending the world premiere of Winter Hymns, a film I spent a few days helping out on last fall. It screened at the @wifilmfest in Madison with director @nathan.deming and some of the cast in attendance (special shout out to @ashleycwilliams and @itsmarcusad) and it was such a wonderful experience! These past couple of weeks I have been working hard to design the multimedia elements for @nicolet_college's upcoming performances of Fahrenheit 451, a play based on the book by Ray Bradbury that explores a not-so-distant future where books are banned and imagination is a threat. Link in bio! I'm absolutely thrilled and honored to be among the recipients of this grant alongside such an incredible list of artists from around the state! I'm so grateful that organizations like @createwis and the @ruthfoundationforthearts are providing opportunities that include artists in rural communities and enables us to build the arts and develop our craft in ways that are often only possible in more urban contexts. Still riding high on last weekend's @beloitfilmfest and all of the wonderful people we met and conversations we had! One such conversation was with local TV station @wifrtv who took some time to chat with us about the Franklin Boggs documentary project that producer @paul.jh.lee and I have been working on.
