FILM SYNOPSIS
STONE COLD PHOENIX is an intimate look at the life and stylings of Shelley Novotny, a northern Wisconsin mixed media artist who creates stunning wearable art pieces to showcase the understated beauty of the world and people around her.
Part documentary and part cinematic poem, this film explores grief and resilience and demonstrates how communal art (and cold water immersion!) can transform us through the ashes of trauma into new and more beautiful versions of ourselves.
